Vollständige Beschreibung
A young man asks if he can marry his partner without her family's knowledge due to excessive financial demands and long waiting periods. The speaker acknowledges that high material standards for marriage cause corruption and encourage sin, citing the Prophet Muhammad's example of low dowries. However, the response clarifies that marrying a virgin who is financially dependent on her parents without their consent is strictly forbidden and a great sin. Respect for parents and in-laws is emphasized as a core religious value, with specific narrations highlighting the status of mothers and mothers-in-law. Exceptions are noted for women who are not virgins or who are financially independent and do not live with their parents; they may decide for themselves. The speaker advises against ending relationships prematurely, suggesting negotiation or having the woman convince her parents, while firmly stating that forced marriages are also unacceptable in the faith. Ultimately, a valid marriage requires consensus: the bride must accept the suitor, and the union must have the blessings of her parents. The video serves as guidance for couples facing cultural barriers to marriage within the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light.
