الوصف الكامل
The speakers examine the historical and scriptural basis for female head covering, asserting that no divine command exists in the Hebrew Bible for women to cover their hair. They analyze biblical narratives, such as those of Rebecca and Tamar, to demonstrate that veiling in ancient Judaism was often associated with prostitution or social status rather than piety. The discussion highlights that the concept of obligatory head covering originated from rabbinic interpretation (Ijtihad) rather than the laws given to Moses. The presentation extends to Christianity, arguing that head covering traditions stem from the writings of Paul rather than the teachings of Jesus, symbolizing male ownership. Regarding Islam, the video contends that the rules for hijab, khimar, and niqab are based on ambiguous Quranic terms and contradictory hadiths. It posits that the practice was a pre-Islamic social tradition and the Sunnah of Abd al-Muttalib, which was later enforced through violence by figures like Umar ibn al-Khattab. The final section contrasts the concept of forced veiling with the true divine command of modesty for both men and women. A testimony is shared expressing relief and liberation from the fear of judgment and hellfire associated with not wearing a headscarf, emphasizing that the Imam has clarified that hijab is not an obligation.
