In this session, Imam Abdullah Hashem Aba al-Sadiq responds to inquiries submitted by Ismail Youssef, a Canadian with Egyptian and Western heritage. The discussion centers on the criteria for verifying the Mahdi, specifically focusing on the 'Tragedy of Thursday' and the Prophet Muhammad's final will. Abdullah Hashem explains that legitimate authority is derived from being named in this divine testament, a claim unique to him and Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan over fourteen centuries of history. The dialogue further explores theological intersections between Islam and Christianity, particularly the interpretation of Isaiah Chapter 53. Abdullah Hashem clarifies that while certain prophecies applied to Jesus, others were delayed to be fulfilled by the Mahdi in an era capable of receiving the fullness of divine knowledge. He distinguishes the community's belief in 'God in creation'—the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in chosen successors—from the concept of absolute divinity, offering a unified view of prophetic lineage. Finally, the video addresses the continuity of apostolic succession from Simon Peter. Abdullah Hashem argues that the true line of vicegerents was corrupted by political interests but continues through the Ahl al-Bayt and the promised Mahdis. He concludes with a message to the Christian world, asserting that the definitive proof of his mission lies in fulfilling the will, possessing divine knowledge, and calling exclusively to the rulership of God rather than man-made systems.
