Full description
The speaker addresses a viewer question regarding the concept of Bida'a within the religion of Islam, particularly in Shia tradition. The talk distinguishes between five inevitable signs related to the Qa'im (Mahdi)—including the Yamani, the Sufyani, and specific events like Al-Khasf bil-Baida—and other prophecies that remain subject to change based on human choices and circumstances. Drawing on narratives from Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, the video illustrates how divine decrees have shifted in the past. Examples include the people of Nineveh avoiding punishment through repentance, the change of the Qibla for Prophet Muhammad, the reduction of daily prayers following advice from Moses, and the delayed mission of Jesus due to lack of support. The discussion emphasizes that while core elements of guidance are safeguarded, many details regarding the emergence and rule of the Mahdi are not set in stone. The speaker concludes that God reserves the right to alter, delay, or cancel aspects of His plan, a power known as Bida'a, which should not be used as an excuse to reject the messenger.
