Full description
This talk examines the historical and religious basis for piercing the ears of male children, tracing the practice back to the Sunnah of Abraham, Ismail, and Hajar. The speaker details narrations where the Angel Gabriel instructed the Prophet Muhammad to pierce the ears of his grandsons, Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn, presenting it as a confirmed Abrahamic tradition. The discussion highlights a contradiction where contemporary scholars, despite acknowledging these narrations, have forbidden the practice. They argue that wearing earrings for men is impermissible because it resembles women or homosexuals in modern society. The speaker critiques this reasoning as an act of ijtihad that overrides explicit Sunnah, effectively turning a halal practice into a haram one. The video serves as a reminder to follow the Muhammadan Sunnah and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt rather than relying on personal deduction that contradicts established traditions. It is intended for those interested in the history of Islamic practices and the preservation of authentic Sunnah.
