And while they are trying to do so, they quote prophecies on the tongues of prophets in the Old Testament that were fulfilled in the time of Jesus, in particular right before the public appearance of Jesus Christ, in order that they may prove that this call is a true call. In Luke chapter three, it states, "In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea," all the way down to, "The Word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness. He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, 'A voice of one calling in the wilderness, prepare the way for the Lord. Make straight paths for him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low, the crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth, and all people will see God's salvation.'" y, and the prophecy would be concerning a man who would be preaching from the wilderness. And they said that right before Jesus' call, indeed, there was a man who was prophesizing in the wilderness, and that man was John the Baptist. Therefore, John the Baptist fulfilled the words and the prophecy of Isaiah. And since John the Baptist fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, then Isaiah was prophesizing about the time of the appearance of Jesus Christ, and therefore the call of Jesus Christ is a true call from God.
We find that in this call, the same thing happened in two thousand and fifteen. Before two thousand and fifteen, and for decades, the non-working scholars of Shia Islam, the Muslim scholars, had been talking about a particular prophecy that described the time of the appearance of Imam Mahdi, just as Isaiah was describing the time of the appearance of the Messiah. In the hadith, it says, the Prophet Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, said, "There shall rule Al Hijaz." Al Hijaz is the area where the Kaaba is. "A man whose name is the same name as the name of an animal. He shall be succeeded by his brother whose name is Abdullah.
If you see this man from afar," meaning the man whose name is the name of an animal, "you'd think that he was cross-eyed. But if you walk up to him and, and are, and are close to him, you won't see in his eyes anything. Woe to our Shia from him." And he repeats this three times.
